Monica Meadows has invaluable aviation industry experience that has forged this path to aviation consultancy. Her aviation career began as a crew member for a regional airline and after proving herself as a strong leader, shortly she was appointed as manager of a 200-member crew that served the airline’s newest base at Raleigh-Durham Airport. Additionally, Monica served on the airline’s advisory board and provided support for other bases.
Highly respected by the airline’s legal department for having maintained a base performance success rate between 90 and 100 percent, along with her natural ability of building bridges between management and employees, led to her assignment on a special project within the airline’s legal department.
Following that assignment, Monica was then identified as the jump starter of the airline’s military-to-civilian pilot transitioning program which has been a major contributor towards resolving the current unprecedented global pilot shortage. Monica would further impact the aviation industry by providing optimal quality assurance of aviation training and recruitment by identifying quality of flight schools throughout the country to become flight training service providers for the program. One of the flight schools that Monica identified was Blue Line Aviation in North Carolina.
Monica quickly recognized that flight schools, generally, were ‘mom and pop shops’. Having spent many hours with flight schools throughout the country, it became apparent that C-Suite leadership was inundated with daily operational tasks to the point of having no time for planning and executing a strategic growth plan.
A business owner with extensive education and aviation experience, Monica provides a wealth of knowledge that has proven her to be an invaluable asset to the aviation industry. She successfully established relationships with key stakeholders such as: Economic Development Offices, Department of Transportation, County Commissioners, and the Airport Authority Board, to name a few.. Through such relationships she has secured a ground lease valued at $8 million for the new Blue Line Aviation Complex/HQ project valued at $13million, developed long- lasting relationships with many airlines, and academia. Immediately following, Monica was asked to join the Triangle East Chamber of Commerce as a valued member of the Board of Directors.
